Went to Ava for a wax and she was so professional! She was very nice and gentle through the whole thing. It was my first wax ever as well and she just made it a very comfortable experience. The whole vibe of the place is very welcoming.

I’ve had facials and microneedling with Ava. My experience has been fantastic! She is professional and meticulous while also being warm and caring. The spa is lovely, clean and well appointed. Highly recommend Ava and this business.

I booked with Mia for a brow and bikini wax, and she did an amazing job. Super gentle and thorough. The salon is beautiful inside and I was seen right away. Highly recommend!

I have struggled with cystic ache and clogged pores my whole life and I’ve spent thousands of dollars or products that have never actually helped my skin but now that I’ve been coming here my skin has absolutely transformed! This place has changed my life around, I’ve had services done with almost every esthetician and I’ve had an amazing and unique experience with each one. If there is once place I could recommend, it would be this one!!!

Priscila is incredible. So detail-oriented. Goes the extra mile. And also keeps a relaxed but jovial vibe to ease any jitters in the process. Very positive and encouraging too.
The space is clean and hygienic. The prices are fair. My only complaint is they are always booked! So book in advance and you won’t have a problem!

I had my first facial at Skin & Body Works yesterday with Susan. It was such a great experience and I can see why the reviews are so good. I really appreciated that Susan took the time to recommend an alternative treatment that would be better for my skin. I'm not an expert in skincare, so I was really looking for someone to tell me what was best for me, and Susan delivered.
If that wasn't enough, I got carded when I ordered a cocktail at dinner right after! I'm 39 and I don't think I've been carded in at least five years.

I can't say enough great things about the facials here! I've seen Susan and Priscilla and both women provided me with top notch experiences. All my concerns were addressed and I left with glowing, clear skin. On top of that, they were extremely personable and pampered me with the neck, shoulders, hands and feet massages. I won't go anywhere else for a facial!

I had a fabulous facial with Ava! She was meticulous. I am a hairdresser on Newbury St. for more than 30 years and have decades of spa treatments. It is so nice to have a great spot in Somerville like this - so close to home !!

BEST FACIAL EVER!!!!!
I've had acne my ENTIRE life (or at least since middle school) and I decided to get a facial to get some help take control of my skin. As soon as I walked in, the atmosphere was so calming and relaxing! It felt like they really cared about how I was doing. The facial itself was HEAVENLY. Not only was it helping my skin but it also felt amazing!!! The massage was absolutely incredible and the esthetician made sure to be very attentive and kind in every way. She clearly explained what my skin needed to look healthy again and even provided me with products for at home care! Immediately after the facial my skin was already glowing! I feel so confident that this is the start of my journey to having clearer and healthier skin!!

After moving to the area, I struggled to find someone to wax me- eyebrows, lips, and bikini. I wish I would have started here but I'm sure glad I found Priscilla! She shapes brows beautifully, lips are as pain free as a wax can be and the bikini is done with ease - while making the whole, very intimate situation comfortable. I also go to Priscilla for facials - she books out but is worth the wait!!

I have been going here for 10+ years to see Priscilla and I can't ever imagine going anywhere else. Since the first day I ever walked in there she's been so kind and easy to talk to. Besides doing an amazing job with waxing she also makes you feel very comfortable. I highly recommend trying this place and ask for Priscilla you won't be disappointed!

For over 10 years I have been seeing Priscilla at Skin and Body Works for monthly facials, and I will not see anyone else. I think she is amazing. She is a very skilled and gentle aesthetician, and always manages to read my skin the right way, recommending the treatment I need at that moment. I love that she continuously seeks out training and education to broaden her skills and learn about new techniques and products. She is not only a wonderful professional, but also a super sweet, interesting and fun person. I look forward to our conversations, and, for those days that I am just too tired, I lie down on the heated table and doze off while she gives a wonderful neck, shoulder, hand or foot massage. I am confident that if anyone goes in for a facial by Priscilla they will keep coming back, like I have.
